Mass on Sunday 3rd July

Sunday 3rd July: Sadly Canon John Paul tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday 29th June and is therefore self isolating in the Chapel House. The normal weekend Masses are now cancelled for this weekend of 2nd/3rd July. However there is a retired Priest called Fr. Gerry Hanlon who has been supplying cover in St. Mary’s Benbecula will be travelling over to Barra on Sunday afternoon and he has kindly offered to celebrate a Sunday Mass for the island at 2.00pm in St. Barr’s Northbay. Therefore this will be the only Sunday Mass for the island this weekend. So please pass on that information. We are very grateful to Fr. Gerry for helping Canon John Paul while he recovers from Covid. We pray for a speedy recovery for Canon John Paul and for all with Covid just now!
