Fisherman’s Mass & Blessing of Boats: Canon John Paul wishes to thank all those who came along to the Fisherman’s Mass last Sunday. After three years it was worth the wait. It was nice to so many people gathered together for the Mass and also for the various fishing boats and other boats that came along to be blessed. Canon John Paul wishes to thank all the volunteers behind the scenes who helped set up the Fisherman’s Mass. Thanks to those who cooked the fresh herring too.There was a “bucket collection” which raised the sum of £1929 which will be split 3 ways. £643 for the Apostleship of the Sea. £643 for the RNLI and £643 for the parish. Moran Taing!

Congratulations: we wish Annie Theresa MacDonald  & Roddy Paul MacDonald every happiness and blessings in their future together as husband and wife. They were married in Our Lady Star of the Sea on Friday 15th July. Annie & Roddy Paul will make their home in Lochboisdale in South Uist. Congratulations and best wishes to them!

Baptism: we warmly welcome into the family of the Church Jamie MacLean who was baptised on Saturday 16th July in St. Brendan’s Craigston. May the Lord continue to bless Jamie and his parents Neil & Maria and the Godparents.

Mass on Wednesday: please note the change of Mass time in Craigston is at 10am for this week!

Burial of Ashes: on Wednesday 27th July there will be the  burial of Ashes of the late Iain MacIntyre (Iain Aoidh of Barra & Coatbridge) in Eoligarry. Iain died on the 12th March 2021 and it was he wish for his ashes to be laid to rest on Barra. There will be Mass at 11am in St. Vincent’s in Eoligarry and thereafter to Eoligarry cemetery for the burial of Ashes. All welcome!
