November Lists: One of the lovely things we can do during the month of November is to pray for our faithful departed. The Month of November is often called the Month of the Holy Souls. There are November Lists with envelopes available at the Church entrance. Please write down on the lists the names of any deceased family, relatives, friends or parishioners you would like to remember and pray for. Once you have filled in your list please place the list in the envelope provided along with your offering. These envelopes will then be placed upon the Altar at every holy Mass and those names you have written will be remembered at the Altar of God at each Mass in November.

Graveyard Rosary: during the month of November the Holy Rosary will be prayed at 3.00pm on:-

Sunday 14th November at Vatersay Cemetery; 

Sunday 21st November at Eoligarry Cemetery   

Sunday 28th November at Borve Cemetery.

If the weather is very poor then we will say the Rosary in the nearest Church!

Remembrance Sunday: the service at the war memorial will be today (14th November) at 2.00pm. We will gather at the Nask War memorial to lay our wreaths and have a 2 minute silence in remembrance of all those who have died in our Great World Wars.

Funeral: we remember in our prayers the repose of the soul of Mary Bradley (Mairi a Digean) of Clydebank & Eoligarry who passed away recently on the mainland. It was Mary’s wish to be laid to rest in Eoligarry Graveyard. Mary’s remain will come off the boat on Friday (19th Nov) and received into St. Barr’s in Northbay. Then on Saturday 20th November the Requiem Mass will be at 11am in St. Barr’s. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual  light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Diocesan Safeguarding Day: the first Diocesan Safeguarding Day will be held digitally on Saturday 20th November. The meeting offers an opportunity for everyone involved in ministry with children or vulnerable adults to spend time together in a supportive and reflective way. Therefore Bishop Brian invites parish volunteers, trainers, PSC’s DSAG and DRAMT members to join him for the gathering. It begins at 11am with a spiritual reflection from Bishop Brian. Then from 11.15am-12Noon “an introduction to -In God’s image Version 2 with Michael McGrath. Then finally 12Noon -12.30 a meeting for PSC’s only.
