Prayers for a special Birthday: on Thursday 2nd June Peigi Haggarty (Peigi Ellie of Borve) will celebrate the wonderful age of 100. Our oldest parishioner and oldest person on Barra. What an amazing age to reach!! All our love, thoughts and prayers are with Peigi as she celebrates her 100th birthday with family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Last weekend after the Confirmations Bishop Brian McGee went to visit Peigi, to pray with her and bring her Holy Communion and to give her a special blessing. Peigi was “over the moon” with such an important guest in her home. Canon John Paul will celebrate a house Mass for Peigi and her family in celebration of her wonderful birthday this week too. We are very fortunate that Peigi is keeping so well and she has her great smile and lovely laugh and has that great sense of humour. Peigi also is a great woman of faith who never forgets her daily Rosary and she still plays her Whist every day and wins consistently. Let us all pray for every health and blessing to come upon Peigi on her 100th birthday. AD MULTOS ANNOS
