Recent Funerals: we remember in our prayers the repose of the Soul of SEUMAS CAMPBELL (Seumas Dhunnachiadh of Caolis in Vatersay) who peacefully passed on Saturday 30th November at the age of 74.  The Requiem Mass of Seumas took place on Tuesday 3rd December in Our Lady of the Waves Church on Vatersay and afterwards Seumas was laid to rest in Vatersay Cemetery. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

 

We also pray for the repose of the soul of IAIN SINCLAIR (Iain Dubh of Garrygall) who peacefully passed away on Tuesday 3rd December at the age of 90. Iain’s Requiem Mass took place on Friday 6th December in Our Lady Star of the Sea in Castlebay and afterwards Iain was laid to rest in Cuithir Cemetery. Eternal rest grant unto him O’ Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

 

Fr. John Convery: We warmly welcome Fr. John to the island and we hope he enjoys his long weekend on the island (hopefully the weather won’t be too windy!!). Fr. John is a Xaverian Mission Priest and he is based in Coatbridge. Fr. John will be here till Tuesday (10th Dec) afternoon. While he is here, it will be a good opportunity to make use of a visiting Priest, to make a good Advent Confession with Fr. John.

Lapaich: Fr. John Paul will be delaying the housebound visits till the week of 16th December.

 

The Season of Advent: There are some small prayer books available for those who wish to do a little extra in their prayers for Advent-some prayers books for Adults and some for children.

 

Fr. John Paul: is away till next Friday (13th December).

 

Eoligarry Vigil Mass: next Saturday 14th December there will be the extra Vigil Mass in Eoligarry at 4pm.

 

Gaelic Prayer Book & Hymn Book: sadly Fr. Ross did not make it over for the meeting due to bad weather- he hopes to reschedule with another date.
