Bhileag 24th April 2022

Recent Death: we pray for the repose of the soul of  Murdina MacNeil –“Dina Ramain” of Glen who peacefully passed on Thursday 21st April at the age of 88 in St. Brendan’s Home where she had been resident for the last four years. Dina was a lovely lady and she was a faithful parishioner here on the island. Dina will be laid to rest today in Cuithir Cemetery after the 11.30am Sunday Mass in Castlebay today. We extend our prayers, love and sympathy to all Dina’s family at this time. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Divine Mercy Sunday: on this Sunday (24th April) the 2nd Sunday of Easter is also called Divine Mercy Sunday. It is an important day of prayer and especially praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The Chaplet will be prayed at 3.00pm in St. Barr’s Church in Northbay during Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.

Wedding: we remember in our prayers Carrie MacNeil & Kenneth Cunningham who are preparing for their Wedding day on Friday 29th April in Our Lady Star of the Sea in Castlebay. Mgr. James MacNeil will be celebrating the marriage service for Carrie & Kenneth. Let us pray for a lovely day of weather for the wedding and let us pray that God may bless Carrie & Kenneth as they make that important step in marriage.

SCIAF Boxes: can be handed into the church as soon as you can.

Gift Aid Envelopes: the new set of Parish Gift Aid envelopes are available in the Church for collection for those who have signed up for Gift Aid. Please remember if you pay tax you are welcome to sign up for Gift Aid. Please think seriously about it! It is a good way for the parish to earn extra income.

Thanks: Canon John Paul wishes to thank all who gave him Easter cards and Easter gifts. Moran Taing!

Canon John Paul: will be taking an Easter break this coming week on the mainland. He will be away from Monday to Saturday this week catching up with family on the mainland.
