Recent Death: we pray for the repose of the soul of MORAG MITCHELL (Morag na Doy) who peacefully passed away late on Friday 12th January in St. Brendan’s Home at the age of 88. It is planned that the funeral will take place on Thursday 18th January in Northbay at 11.00am. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Funeral: we remember in our prayers the repose of the soul of MORAG CAMPBELL (Morag Dhunnachaidh) who passed away recently at the age of 71 in Campbeltown. For the last number of years Morag has had dementia and has been in a Home in Campbeltown. It is planned (weather permitting) that Morag’s remains will be brought back to the island this coming Tuesday (16th Jan) by boat and for Morag to be received into Our Lady Star of the Sea in Castlebay. The Requiem Mass will then be on Wednesday 17th Jan in Castlebay at 11am and thereafter Morag will be laid to rest in Vatersay cemetery. Morag’s Requiem Mass will now be on Saturday 20th Januaury at 11am in Castlebay. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Crib Collection/Holy Childhood: we will take up a special collection today for the Crib Collection which is for the Missionary Childhood.

Castlebay Church Cleaners: a new rota will be made up soon however would anyone like to add their name to the cleaners Rota? We are always looking for more helpers to add their names to the list. Would you be able to help?

Castlebay Readers Rota: please pick up the latest rota. If anyone would like to help out with readings at Mass especially with Gaelic readings could you speak with Fr. John Paul.

Lapaich: Fr. John Paul will make his housebound visits this week. Monday in Glen, Brevig & Castlebay. Tuesday in Eoligarry and Northbay. Those he normally sees on Wednesday in Castlebay & Vatersay will be delayed till Friday. As always if there is anyone you know who would appreciate a visit from the Priest please speak to Fr. John Paul.

Eoligarry Sunday Mass: next Saturday there will be the extra Vigil Mass in Eoligarry at 4.00pm.
