Lenten Talk/reflection: next  Friday (12th April) at 6.30pm Fr. Emmanuel will give a Lenten Talk in Vatersay Church. The talk is entitled “The Conversion of  St. Augustine: a great sign of God’s infinite mercy & grace”. The talk will be about 35 mins and then afterwards Fr Emmanuel will be happy to answer any questions in regard his Lenten talk. Lent is a time to try new things and step out of our comfort zone. Come along and be inspired by the life of St. Augustine to help you in your own journey of faith and help you prepare for Holy Week.

Fr Ross will hear Confessions: this coming Thursday 11th April Fr Ross will come over for the afternoon and will be available to hear any confessions- from  2.30pm-3.30pm in CASTLEBAY and 4pm-5pm in  NORTHBAY.

SCIAF Coffee/Tea Morning: There will have a fund raising event of a “Coffee Morning for SCIAF on SATURDAY  13th APRIL from 11.30am-2.00pm in Castlebay School. As well as tea, coffee and cakes there will be soup and sandwiches. Teresa McGoldrick & Penelope Blackwell who work for SCIAF will be there to represent the charity. Donations of baking will be gratefully accepted on the day. Come along and enjoy a “wee cuppa and a cake or two and also a lovely plate of homemade soup” and help support the good work of SCIAF.

Congratulations: to  John Lawrence MacNeil & Cheryl Docherty who were married   in Our Lady Star of the Sea in Castlebay. May God our Father bless Mr & Mrs MacNeil  in their future as husband & wife.

Vatersay Sunday Mass: today at 4pm.

Eoligarry Vigil Mass: will be next Saturday (13th April) at 4pm in St. Vincent’s.

Fr. John Paul & Fr. Emmanuel: will be away from Tuesday till Thursday this week attending the Chrism Mass in Oban and also the various clergy meetings planned over those days.

The Chrism Mass:  will take place Wednesday 10th April at 7pm in St. Columba’s Cathedral in Oban. Bishop Brian extends a warm invitation to everyone to come along to the Mass.

Stations of the Cross: today Sunday 7th April  there will be Stations of the Cross in Northbay at 4pm.

Gift Aid Envelopes: The new Gift Aid envelopes for the year are now available for collection in the Church.

Canon William Fraser: will celebrate his Golden jubilee of  Priesthood on the 10th April. Fr Fraser was Parish Priest in Northbay from 1986-1991.
