Bhileag 19th December 2021
Covid-19 guidelines: The Scottish Government are strongly highlighting the need to keep looking after ourselves and looking after others during this pandemic. We now have the “Omicron Variant” of Covid-19 in our Country which seems to pass more quickly between people. Let us all continue to carry on our good work of keeping on top of Covid-19 by wearing our face masks- keep sanitising our hands-go for our vaccinations. We all have to play our important part especially now in the lead up to Christmas.
Requiem Mass: we remember in our prayers the repose of the soul of Christina MacLeod (of Earsary & Glasgow) who returned home to Barra last Monday so that her final few days could be spent with her family on the island. Christina peacefully passed away late on Saturday 18th December at the age of 87. Christina’s Requiem Mass will be on Tuesday 21st December at 11am in St. Barr’s Northbay and thereafter Christina will be laid to rest in Eoligarry Graveyard. We extend our prayers of sympathy to Hughie and all the family and relatives at this time. Eternal rest grant unto her O lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
Recent Funeral: we remember in our prayers the repose of the soul of Chrissie MacIntyre (Chrissie a Bhacaidh) of Bruernish who peacefully passed away in her own home at the age of 75 after a short illness. Chrissie’s Requiem Mass took place on Wednesday 15th December in St. Barr’s in Northbay and thereafter Chrissie was laid to rest in Eoligarry graveyard. We extend our prayers of love and sympathy to all Chrissie’s family. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
